Our two Frenchies love nothing better than to nestle in our bed. While we love their snuggly presences (sorry Cesar Millan), we don't love having black fur all over our white sheets. But no matter how many times I remind them that we are the alphas in this relationship -- and that they have their own beds, and blankets, and favorite chair to curl up in -- it doesn't deter them from lounging in our bed.

My husband suggested we get black sheets to mask the problem. Practical? Kinda. Aesthetically pleasing? Um, no. Luckily, before he transformed our bedroom into a den of darkness, I heard about Le Chien et Le Chat Detergent from The Laundress.

It was created specifically to remove fur from dog blankets and beds, so I thought perhaps I should give our sheets a spin. Sure enough, the mysterious de-fuzzing potion worked like magic. Despite the froofy packaging, it's not perfumey (I buy the cedar scent). And though it's a bit on the pricey side, it's well worth enjoying crisp, clean sheets again -- while letting our sleeping dogs lie.

This is fantastic and exactly what I need in my life!!! I have two cats, one black and one white, so no matter what color of fabric/sheets/blankets I have, someone's fur always shows up!!! This might seriously change my life. I'm giddy!!!!

Interesting, I have two boxers and although they never go on my bed, they do have their own beds that have plenty of hair after washed. So, this sound slike an idea. thanks! P.S. I'm looking to adopt a white or black frenchie, any idea where a good place to go would be?
