Mosquitoes love me. Wish I could say I share the sentiment. (And in the spirit of our "100 Reasons to Hit the Road" story, let me just announce that I will not be visiting this unnatural wonder ... EVER.)

In the event that I'm caught without my trusty skeeter defeater and the vampiric creatures blitz my body, I turn to Aveeno's Anti-Itch Gel Spray for relief.

Recommended to me last summer by our own Elizabeth Graves, it uses a natural mixture of oatmeal (the soothing agent) and camphor (the you-won't-want-to-scratch-your-skin-off agent) to instantly take the itch out of even the most bothersome bites.

Mosquitoes love me too! I can't seem to stop them from biting me - but a there is a product called "Afterbite" that somehow neutralizes whatever substance makes you itch. It works best when applied as soon as possible after being bitten - it makes it like you were never bitten at all! I carry it around in my purse all summer.

that thing is the stuff of nightmares. :|
i may do a good amount of writing on vampire narratives when i'm being Academic Sami, but i hate HATE mosquitoes.
there's a swampy patch of trees between my house and the nearest grocery store, and when i have to pass by it during mosquito season, i kind of clutch my purse and run like a stupid until i reach the store.

This summer, I left California (where mosquitoes are small) on a trip that took me to Alabama, Spain, Morocco, Greece, Italy... lots of places where mosquitoes are hungry. I am usually one of those people bugs look at and think, "Yum!" But... I took two B-vitamins every day and never got bit once. I guess they didn't like the way I smelled. I laughed in their pointy faces.
