Page teased you about it months ago, and it's finally here: MUJI!
The first stateside MUJI store opened in Soho at noon last Friday, giving New Yorkers access to exquisitely designed and beautifully understated objects. Their (low-priced) collections include items for the home, office, and even your closet. With more than 2,000 SKUs -- and as many products -- in the store, I guarantee that you won't be able to leave empty-handed. Callie, our Senior Home Market Editor, and I were lucky enough to go to the press preview, where we did a bit of pre-shopping.
MUJI: 455 Broadway, NYC, 10013

Everything looks better in multiples

What great timing! I'm headed to NYC this weekend. When I lived in Korea muji was one of the few places I could find clothes that fit and streamlined goods. I've been a fan of the colored pencils and the B5 size notebooks for years!

MUJI!!! I used to live in London and a trip to Muji was always a great time!! I'm so excited to be able to visit one of my favorite stores right here in New York! Can't wait to stop by!

Thanks for posting this! I'm so glad MUJI is finally open-- the selection at the MoMA store was never quite enough of a fix.
I did an article about my love of MUJI here awhile back...
There's such beauty in the simplicity of their products.

Yippee!!! I am so thrilled to read this. I have been in Muji withdrawal since returning from Japan in 2002. I live in Massachusetts but will be sure to check this out on my next trip to NYC.
