In my last blog about jeans I told you all about my love for the “cute-butt effect" of James Jeans and mentioned that they're using the T400 Lycra. Well, Lycra has gone and one-upped itself by creating the XFIT. It's something that you'll have to try out for yourself: I'm sitting at my desk, and the jeans I'm wearing feel like soft leggings. The waistband is just as comfortable.
When these were pitched as “360 degrees of stretch,” I laughed because it reminded me of a commercial voice-over. But sure enough, the jeans I slid on were extremely comfy and didn’t look like they were painted onto my legs. Here's XFIT's explanation of the technology: "The innovative, patented cross-weave technology delivers 360° movement -- so they move in every way that you do. This offers excellent fabric stability and great shape retention with great recovery." Here's mine: These guys don’t stretch out, and they look amazing. Plus, they're cozy enough to travel in, so please throw away your travel sweats.
Currently, I'm living in the Serfontaine “Minx," a straight-leg fit with a clean dark wash, and it's the perfect everyday jean. But the XFIT is also being used by J Brand, True Religion, and Abercrombie & Fitch. Info and a full list of retailers is available here.

The Serfontaine XFIT LYCRA® Minx is available at Olive and Bettes, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Henry Lehr, among others.

I would like to say that I am looking all over for a pair of jeans that have the lycra in them... sad to say that living in Winchester... we just aren't up on styles so much. All the web sites posted are just where to find the store's that sell them... and not how to purchase them if you don't live in the City area's... I have been suffering with horrible jeans for years and being 28 years old 5'7" and 137 lbs, no jeans fit right... I am not really a miss, or a junior... so the opportunity to buy a pair that will fit well and won't leave me pulling them up all the time after a little bit of wear. or trying to stuff my bottom into a pair just washed and not loose... it is just frustrating... so if anyone can help it would be great!! :)

in response to the customer or would be customer --the marketing segmentation to a young youthful cohort prevents them from offering jeans for women with curves hello they are not interested in selling to a woman with curves end of story find another TYPE of article of clothing if you own your on company wear jeans you want a promotion well think again!! also you obviously don't work for MSLO or Bluelines which is not defucnt RIP

For the last commenter -- the website www.shopintuition.com will be carrying up to size 34 soon. Thought I'd pass that on!
Thanks for the great recommendations.

You know what is so annoying...? These jeans companies don't make enough sizes. They tend to stop at 32. Rarely do I see 33, 34. I am a 5'9", 43 year old woman who has kept in shape and needs stylish, cool jeans for both work and play. I am not overweight, but I do have an athletic, muscular build and finding a decent pair of jeans is really hard. I really wish the manufacturers would take into account that not everyone has a 20-year old toothpick figure. MAKE SOME STYLISH JEANS FOR REAL WOMEN WITH CURVES, for Pete's sake!

I have this pair and it is by far the best jean ever! Serfontaine jeans is the only premium brand that I wear, nothing compares as their fit is the best for all body types!

These Serfontaine jeans look great, but how do you feel about the higher 9 inch rise?

That picture looks like the very definition of "painted on jeans" to me...
