Forget burning yule logs and roasting chestnuts: What better to put you in a festive mood than some plaid duct tape? At least, that's what I thought when I discovered that L.L. Bean has such a thing. Now I'm set for all of my holiday duct-taping needs!
$9.50 for the set, L.L.Bean
This great plaid tape (which also comes in camo or 'sportsman' print) made me think about the neon pro-artist's tape we used in the November/December issue. It's such an easy way to make a simple brown box pop. Be sure to check out the rest of Find Tape, which carries an amazing selection of colors, finishes, and widths.

$7 per roll, Find Tape
Then I spotted this tinsel tape on Atypyk. How perfect is that for wrapping presents? Wood grain and python printed tapes are also available.

$12.60 per roll, Atypyk

lol, we use this tapes to make our hula hoops. What you do is buy a huge piece of black poly tubing, and then wrap (mostly the bright colors) in spirals around it, making patterns in opposite directions. The thin tape works best. It's a great piece of home exercise equipment, and also looks awesome at parties.

What's the deal with the news I just read on gawker.com about Blueprint being done!!! This is my favorite magazine and I subscribe to over 16 of them! I can't believe this, I am so totally bummed.

Very nifty, I could use some of that--make wrapping parcels FUN :-)

I'm afraid I can't concentrate on tape and wrapping now that I've heard BLUEPRINT will be around no longer... sob! I even used to get copies mailed to Cape Town through magazine swaps!

Yes! I totally tried to order the camo tape from LL Bean for my brother for Christmas like 2 years ago, but it sold out. So if you want it, hurry up.
Then I went on a colored duct tape googling bonanza- there are lots of crazy options out there.

Ooh, does Martha know about the wood grain tape? It would fit right in with her faux bois collection!

That neon tape is great. We used several rolls of varying width and colour to decorate a narrow white hall-way. The tape zig-zags up and down the walls and provides some colour to an otherwise small and confining space. And when we get sick of it, it'll peel right off :)
