Posted by BlueprintWe'll be honest: It's been a bumpy ride since the announcement of Blueprint magazine's cessation back in December. We've both rejoiced at and despaired in your insightful comments, laments, and occasional taunts. But, most of all, we've learned an awful lot about what you want (the magazine), what you don't (just another blog), and what it was that you liked so much about Blueprint (too much to list). See, we're listening.
That said, the decision that was made is final. And although we really do love the idea of a grassroots "Bring Back Blueprint" campaign (the alliteration would make it perfect for bumper stickers and pins), you'll have to consider us the Arrested Development of publishing -- without any hope of a movie deal.
However, we've concocted a new plan and we're excited to finally share some news with you, our most patient and understanding readers. We are relaunching the blog with a new panel of contributors -- some of whom you already know and love from Blueprint, and others we think you'll get along with swimmingly. The blog will become what you've been demanding all along: an inspiring, creative place to come and get the amazing DIY projects, decorating ideas, recipes, fashion, etiquette, and culture coverage that you loved in the magazine. We're excited to be collaborating with a talented roster of artists, bloggers, editors, and stylists who loved Blueprint as much as you. But we can't do it without you! So, please hang on for a little bit longer (we're relaunching in early March) and in the meantime, tell all of your friends!

Thanks for all the work and inspiration. I too thumb through the old issues of Blue Print and think what talent......
Keep us together we appreciate the gifts you offer us in way of knowledge, ideas and spirit.

I hope that there are special issues of Blueprint. I am happy about the relaunch but I have to admit.....the magazine was one of the best. I am looking forward to March.

Oh p.s. Can that include a more beefy blogroll? I love your recommendations for other sites thus far and would love to see more. Thanks!

I think it's great that we even have this forum available to let you know what we think. My favorite magazines have always met an early demise (Sassy, Jane and now, Blueprint.) Glad you're listening and going to relaunch something based on all our feedback. Kudos to you! :)

THANK GOD CAN'T WAIT FOR MARCH!!!

i still can't help but feel so very very sad about this. i was looking at old blueprint issues just the other day and i thought to myself how amazing a new issue would be.
with such a demand to bring it back, i don't understand why the decision they made HAS to be final!? and at the risk of sounding like a brat, i know that a blog is better than nothing, but it just still isn't the same!!
i feel so defeated...

As with Arrested Development, so with Blueprint...why if so many people love the publication (or program) do the people upstairs decide to drop the axe? Glad the blog will stay around and hopefully be a comfort to those of us who mourn the death of the magazine, but I'm still so very sad that there's no chance of a reprieve for the mag. Well, you never know...Victoria magazine folded several years ago and then reappeared on the newsstands recently. If that mag could make a comeback, why not one as timely and stylish as Blueprint? Let's not give up hope!

A few tears for the days of yore, that nervous twisty feeling in my stomach for what's yet to come.
I hope the contributors will be compensated handsomely for their genius.

I was very sad to learn Blueprint will be no longer, but knowing the blog will remain (and relaunch!) makes it bittersweet news.

Oh everyone commenting just sounds so positive and I was gonna get all negative again. Um, well besides the blog is there going to be a section devoted to Blueprint-type stuff in Living?
