As if Danish-born musician Tina Dico (who has collaborated with Zero 7) didn't have enough going on today. Her "Count to Ten" album has its U.S. release and she is prepping for a tour of Germany. The singer-songwriter -- whose lovely voice and wistful lyrics fills the gamut between Joni Mitchell and the Verve -- still found time to share a few of her favorite things with us from her home base in London.

Traveling so much, you must have been to places you would go back to (without the guitar).
I have quite a few favorite cities that I'd love to visit "off-duty." The top five would be:
1. New York which needs no explanation! (We agree.)
2. Edinburgh because of the architecture, history, and music.
3. San Francisco for its amazing and unique vibe.
4. Berlin because it's really happening at the moment. The people are cool people and there is a great energy.
5. Rio is beautiful and Ipanema on New Year's Eve and all the way through to Carnival is the world's best party.

What current book and album are you're obsessed with at the moment?
I've just read Khaled Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns," about women in Afghanistan. It's heartbreaking and incredibly eye opening. On a recent tour of the U.S. East Coast, I was tripping over the Shins' "Wincing the Night Away" and J.J. Cale's "Naturally." It was the perfect soundtrack.

Any must-have beauty products on the tour bus?
Many must-haves, I must admit. First, a six-step Epicurean routine (an all-natural skin-care brand) that I do nightly along with quite a few vitamin supplements. All the travelling usually makes me look pretty worn-out so I have to have my Dior "Skin Flash" concealer at the ready.
Favorite shops or places in your London neighborhood?
I live around Notting Hill and there are lots of cool, "feel-good" shops for organic food and clothes. Like Euforia on Lancaster Road. I'm not much of a shopper -- my favorite places are the cozy cafes and beautiful cinemas in the area, such as the Notting Hill Coronet and The Electric with its big leather chairs with footstools.

What websites do you browse when waiting for a flight or during downtime at the hotel?
My Gmail -- I'm always behind on replying to emails! Other than that, I check the news on a couple of Danish news sites and I keep up with reviews of the latest films on rottentomatoes.com. Oh, and I try and keep up with my Danish and English sites and my Myspace page.

my friend is obsessed with her singing, so I will definetly pass this blog on.
thanks!!
