This week on Homegrown (9-11am ET, Martha Stewart Living Sirius Radio 112), we'll cover the basics of pruning and also talk roses. If roses are revisited in the future, I'd love to hear you address disease resistant roses like polyantha roses which require fewer insecticidal, antifungal, and other treatments (thus reducing the chemicals and minerals introduced to the garden) and the practice of companion planting (a la roses love garlic) to increase vigor.
