This morning, on Homegrown (Martha Stewart Living Radio Sirius 112), Margaret was eager to share the newest tool in her gardening arsenal: the tick twister. The plastic tool looks a bit like a tiny green crowbar, and works like one as well. If you spot a tick, slide the forked end of the tool underneath the tick's head and then gently twist. With a little maneuvering, you can just lift the tick right off the skin. It's an effective way to get rid of one of the few pests that would rather attack the gardener than the garden.


Where was this last night when my dog had to have a tick removed?
