Laura Plimpton Eliad Laskin
Let’s face it. I do have a very busy schedule and you may be wondering how I have the time to write my daily postings on my blog. Thankfully, I am not alone in that department because my executive assistant and wonderful photographer, Eliad Laskin, and my sister, Laura Plimpton are standing by as my editors. Eliad is extremely talented in all aspects of Web related processes and knows my extensive photo archives intimately – he actually scanned and organized most of them. Laura has worked in many aspects of my business, from the early catering days to the cooking seminars.
She went on to write my nationally syndicated radio show, Ask Martha, for many years and has done numerous other projects for my company. I can’t think of anyone better who can capture my voice as I report to her. I hope you will all log in and enjoy!

Thanks for letting us meet some of your talented people.
I have often wondered how many people you have on staff at your Home. I would love to meet some of them too.

Dear Martha,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Martha, sister Laura, executive assistant Eliad (and company) for sharing your incredible (and diverse) talents in collectively creating and contributing to this/Martha's wonderful Blog!
Just when the sparking creative neurons have subsided (just a little) after reading my "Martha Stewart Living" (or an online MarthaStewart.Com feature), they are wildly and excitedly sparking away once again as I read (and experience) this wonderful Blog. (Oh, if only one was able experience the scent of the beautifully photographed flowers and/or the aroma of the brined roasted turkey, baked goods and other culinary delights, our online experience would definitely be pure Nirvana!)
It is wonderful (and a thrill every day) to be constantly surrounded by so many kindred sprits and creative geniuses. Thank you once again!
Best,
Bill

Hi Martha; Laura and Eliad too.
What kind of scanner do you have that Eliad has already scanned most of your pictures? Can I borrow it? I don't think I will ever finish scanning mine; it is quite an undertaking! I have to say everyone is doing a great job or I would not be here checking things out everyday. Trish

Thank you so much for your help on how to make things. Sincerely Debbra

Congratulations to all the individuals involved in making this blog so great. Everything from the picture of a brick to the picture of Kevin in a helicopter appears so simple yet makes us feel so special. The story line not only is educational but fun to follow along with the pictures. Thank you for considering us with your blogging.

My goodness laura certainly resembles martha. I suppose you are asked that daily oh Martha (really laura ) I just love your column now if they did say that to laura they would be right!! Okay I have in the oven a White chocolate sweet potato cake the picture from this web site looks so yummy I printed the recipe back in 2005 and now just now I prepared it for the first time also I did not have brandy as the recipe called for so i used bourbon and I do not have macadamia nuts so i used pecans I suppose I created my own recipe from all the changes I made
The nearly translucent layers just looked so creamy and dreamy in the photo
I actually don't think I will use the heavy cream and white chocolate frosting as the calorie count and fat count is way too rich for my blood really too rich for my blood now I am thinking about cheating and purchasing a prepared frosting too bad the local bakeries don't sell frosting by the pound
NowI shall go to the video store and a copy of the Corn Dog man

Thanks for letting us know how you manage your blog. Your "voice" is very clear and consistent in the blog entries. I like that.

Hello Martha, This is my 1st viit to your blog. On today's show you showed your birth certificate, Baptismal Certificate, etc. Question: I was born in Jersey City and was delivered by Dr.J.N.Connell at the Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital on Feb. 3, 1941. I was babtized at St. Nicholas Church but think I saw St. Anne's on your certificate. I went to St. Anne's school on Congress St. taking a bus from Manhattan Ave. Where did you live when you were born in Jersey City? What year were you born? Cheers, Carol

I well remember Laura and family from the '98 Holiday issue of MSL.
Martha, I think it's great when you showcase those many talented people who work behind the scenes to help you "keep all the balls in the air." Quite a juggling act, I'm sure.
It is fun to check into your blog and follow along with your rich and varied daily experiences.

I was so shocked to learn of your mom's passing. I watch nearly every day and missed your announcement. I realize that it was because I was attending my own mom's funeral that day. My prayers are with you as we share these difficult times together.

Martha, I loved seeing your Mothers items she kept of her kids.I kept my 4 kids birth certificates, first baby dress, pictures, and school report cards. I gave each child (now adults)a box for Christmas and they are going to make a shadowbox featuring their items. I think that makes a great memory .

Martha,
I just heard about your mother. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I lost my mother last year and can tell you it is not only a time to grieve, but a time to rejoice in her life. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Seeing you going over the contents inside the envelope your mother left you brought me to tears. My son will be twenty one on December 8; and I have been going through his pictures and the memorabilia that I have saved over the years to pick out a few selected items to give to him on his birthday. I can just imagine how your mom felt when she put those things in the envelopes for you and your five siblings.

Martha,
I've been away for the past week, and of course upon my return, turned on the tv to watch your show first thing this morning.
I was saddened to hear of your recent loss. Your mother was a wonderful person and it was lovely to see her often on the show. I wish to offer my condolences and that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. God Bless!
