Martha, Paw Paw, friends and family: Best wishes to all for a joyous new year. Thank you for sharing your insights for living graciously and enjoying life to the fullest.
Hi Martha, What a precious little fellow Paw Paw is and what a perfect bearer for a Happy New Year he is. He looks absolutely regal! My little fellow, Dudley Do Right, would love to wish Paw Paw many Happy New Years to come. He would also love to play with him and the girls. He loves cats, too. We send our best to all of you. Love, Jan & DDR
Oh Paw Paw! Did you shove Francesca and Sharkey out of the picture again? May 2008 bring each of you puppies, your sister kitties, gorgeous Freesian horses, chicks, birds, bees, and Billie, Rufus, Clyve, and of course our MARTHA great love, peace, and joy!

Happy New Year to all of you there at MSLO.
None of my chows have ever liked to wear any hats or any costumes, they hated it and still do! They humor us is all, look at Paw Paw so regal truly excellent mask and markings a wonderful chow chow show dog, he should have won "Best of Show" at Westminster- one day the chow chow will. He looks directly in the camera better then most people do.
He deserves a super New Year's supper for putting up with us humans~
Happy New Year to Paw Paw and the other critters at Bedford. We went to a sponsored party at Nieman Marcus on the Strip here in Vegas, which was cold but lovely. The VIP wristbands had the KB Homes logo on them, so I thought of Martha. The Champagne was fine too, the vodka Italian.
Our goodie bags included boxes of Vosges chocolates, including an iffy wasabi version. I put one of the Vosges ribbons on our tabby, Margaret Teragram (a palindromic name), which lasted about 12 hours til she managed to scratch it off - as per usual.
Well, Martha, wishing you also a safe and happy new year. Our "marthamarthamartha" forum will be celebrating its 4th anniversary on January 6.
Thank you Paw Paw; you are so cute I just want to hug you! Say hi to all the other critters for me and to Martha and Laura and Eliad too! May you all have a properous and Happy New Year. Trish
Hi Martha,Paw Paw is adorable, he always looks content that is the result of your love of animals. They always greet their master with a smile no matter what kind of day it was for you. Love all your animals. What do you think of the Alpacas? They too are cute.
Looking forward to your return and love your blogs. They are so
interesting and the photos are excellent.
I really wish you and all your babies the best in the new year! I love the website But I can't seem to find one of the crafts that you did on your show. It was the one that looked like an ornament for the tree with glitter on it made out of felt but it held a gift card...do you remember the one I am speaking of? By next year all the ornaments on our tree will be homemade that is one of my goals I have set for myself. I love to do all kinds of crafts and you inspire me! Thank You so much!
Dear Martha, I watch your show everyday but this is my 1st time looking at your blog. Your trip to St. Barts looks lovely & the photos are WONDERFUL!!! I too have traveled extensively & have many photos that I've taken over the years. I'll send some of my better ones along sometime. One thing I noticed at the top of your blog today. You say..." Only a few great yachts can be "parked" here," The proper word is "berthed". I know as my son is a longshoreman here in Portland Harbor. I grew up in Pemaquid, a small fishing village in Maine. I have a picture somewhere of a sign that says..."No berthing beyond this point"...That I took down at the harbor where they lump the big boats. I'll send it along as soon as I find it.
OH & I will be making those raviolo as soon as possible, they look GREAT!!! And Paw Paw looks so cute! I wish my dog would wear clothes! I did wrap her in blinking xmas lights this year but she refused to go bathroom with them on! LOL
Love ya Martha!

I watched your "Baby" show this week. It was wonderful. I am a new grandmother and would love to see more shows of this type. I watch your show whenever I can and love the cooking and baking recipes and tips.
Happy new year to Martha and all in your family. I love seeing Paw Paw dressed up in various themes. This year, I wish more luck to see your programs on television more updated and fresh as the broadcasting company has the programs delayed about 1 year. Now what I can entertertain myself is reading your magazines and watching you through your fantastic website. I dream of standing near you teaching how to cook thai green curry ( my mother's recipe) for the next next year.

I have a dog I rescued from a neighborhood at the age of 8wks.
1st thing we noticed was her pink and BLUE tongue - hence she's part Chow - other part seems to be Corgi thus we have our own designer breed -"Chorgi". Her name is Foxy as that is what a friend thought I had "captured" - it took 1 hour to catch her - in a garage with a sheet throw over her- she still runs when I fluff out our feather comforter. I have photos but can't see a way to post them...
Martha, you have such a beautiful Chow Chow! My beloved Shiba Inu passed away, and after much research, I have decided to adopt a Chow. I have been looking for a red or cream purebred Chow, but I am not having any luck finding a young one from a responsible and loving breeder. Any tips???
I just fell in love with PawPaw.
What kind of dog is he?
He looks like a litle Lion!
I read you blog every day and always check your website for new video's and articles. We (me and my sister Femke) hope your show will air in the Netherlands someday.

Hi Paw Paw, Martha and all the other critters. I know how much you love your pets and others and I am hoping you can help me get the word out about Lambie's Smile Fund. Lambie was my little rescued greyhound lady that passed away from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever in Dec 04. On my website there's a page dedicated to her. Ticks affect people and animals. I'm always surprised at how many people don't think there's a problem. Did you know President Bush has Lyme Disease? On my website you can also find a few facts and some links. This April will be having an on line auction to help raise money so we can bring more preventive medicine to the animals at the local shelter here in NH as well as provide medical needs to animals that come into the shelter with a TBD and also to educate the public. We could always use a little help with the auction, if anything to at least help us get the word out. Last year, Kathy Ireland was gracious enough to donate a wonder gift. We hope that this year you will find a way in your heart to help us in someway.
Also on my website, you can see photos of my greyhounds that I rescued as well as links to YouTube for some home videos. Cofax, my present dog was a retired racer that went from foster family to foster family and returned from adoptions until she found her way to us. Her adoptive family previous to us was afraid she would end up in the wrong family and would have been put down. Not with us. We understand her. She's just so smart that she'll cause trouble when she get bored and when she does play, she'll get carried away and get a little rough. She just needed someone with patience to teach her right from wrong. I couldn't imagine my life with out her, or my other adoptive furfriends. Our first greyhound was ReRun - his racing name was Evader but he hated that name. We lost him April 19, 2007 the day after his 12th birthday (which was my husband's birthday) of a heart tumor. We miss ReRun and Lambie with all our hearts, but through Lambie's Smile Fund we can see them live when we help save others. We hope you will help us to help them. Thank you for your time. God Bless - Bóg błogosławi (czcić)

The photos of your dogs were so inspiring! Here are some of the photos I took of my cats this holiday season in outfits from a large retail store. I incorporated these photos into a 'Martha Stewart Trifold' holiday card from Kodak. The cards turned out so great that almost all of the recipients phoned me to let me know how much they loved it. I included a quote about Mark Twain and the relationship he had with his cats that had been printed in an old newspaper on Xmas Eve in the early 1900's. It was very special!
