New from our Macy's line, and a behind the scenes look at our craft department
This amazing space at Starrett Lehigh is called the clerestory and it is so functional for meetings, banquets, and for display
purposes. Right now we are showing our latest Macy’s Martha Stewart
Collection of Fall 2008. We are introducing new colors for products
that have proven popular and some new styles that we’re sure our
customers will love. I’m so happy seeing everything laid out like
this. It’s so colorful and crisp.
Here are some new additions to our bath towel line. With so many gorgeous colors to choose from, I can never decide which is my favorite.

Our extensive kitchenware line
AND HERE’S SOME OF THE CRAFT DEPARTMENT
My craft department is comprised of amazingly creative and talented
thinkers. There is always so much activity taking place there. Here
are some of the crafts people involved in a weekly product review
session. They’ve been talking about rubber stamps, inkpad colors, as
well as marker pen colors. I sometimes wish I had their job.
Here is a holiday inspiration wall. Seeing such a visual really sparks the creative brain.

Martha,
Thanks for the tour of your clerestory and craft department, both filled with inspiration and creative genius!

Martha, the items look beautiful. It is always fun when you show us 'behind the scenes'. Do you have any plans to bring your products to the UK. Am sure that Selfridges or Harrods would be happy to stock them!

If you sold tickets for tours of these scenes people would be lined up like they are to come to your show...Would you please consider it? THANK YOU!!

OH how I wish I could work there too! That stuff is so right up my ally!

I've seen other photos of your items at Macy's but nothing like this! Wow, you have so much room in that building; thanks for showing us another part of it. Lovely! Trish

It looks amazing all set out like that, it's awesome to see everything so clean and tidy and makes you just want to take it all home. The craft department are lucky to have their job, I'm envious!

Martha:
My husband and I purchased a farm in Wisconsin and are planning an extensive renovation. We are planning to change an existing staircase and would like to fashion a newel post like the one in your Martha Stewart Show studio. Any chance you could send a picture for my carpenter? Thank you!

These behind the scenes tours remind me of the book you mentioned in the Martha Rules: are you still planning to publish a book about the Martha Stewart design process? I was so looking forward to it, and haven't heard anything since. Thank you.

I love your line at Macy's (and I loved the line at Kmart, too) You're bringing good design to the masses. Everything in my first apartment came from your line at Kmart. I felt so adult. I just found your blog and am so glad I did. Abbey

Seeing your show here in Norway everyday now, I'm wondering if your planning a Scandianavian launch of your products ;-) I'm sure they'll be a big hit here with their practical and elegant esthetic :-)

I just loved your tours. It's so nice to see how things come together and how you have them layed out for display before they ever leave for the stores.I wish we had a Macy's here so all I can do is dream for now anyway.
Thanks again and I like everything you share with us.

Martha:)
Thanks for another great behind the scenes look at some of the things that are going on in your life. The Macy's displays are beautiful. The towel colors are so bright and colorful. And the kitchen wares have to be my favorites. I would be like a kid in a candy shop.
Your crafts department must love their work. I am really looking forward to seeing their new craft items and ideas.

Creative brainstorming at work--it's great to see the behind the scenes peek. Now, where can I get an application? Do you have a need for a mixed media artist on your team? :)
Love the look of the red and turquoise kitchen items, I'm not sure if they are meant to be together or if my eyes just moved to those colors, but its a great holiday look. I hope to see more of it this Christmas.

Hi Martha, Once again you have provided us with a fantastic look into yet another part of your wonderful Starrett-Lehigh Building. I agree with Chris. A tour of this building would be the greatest. Sometimes I like to go to Macy's just to see if you have any new products. Thanks for the preview of the new fall products. Thank you for this wonderful, informative blog. I look forward to reading it every day. Jan

Terrific eye candy! I want it all!
As usual, I yearn to work there. Yearn! This is me, sitting here tapping my foot just waiting for my email to pop with your interest.
Feel free to hum along with me to the tune of the Jeopardy theme song!

That would truly be my dream job. I love to craft and would be in seventh heaven. I will have to go to your Michael's website and take a look and see if there is anything new there.

I was at Macy's today and did not see the garlic peeler flexible tube kitchen gadget. Is this new and not-yet-available at Macy's? I would love to get one soon!

My creative taste buds are salivating at all of the upcoming goodies you were so kind enough to share with us! I just love the new colors, and the creature cutting boards look adorable!
I also enjoyed glancing at your holiday inspiration board! I offer you an invitation to view some of my own holiday designs on my website. I think you will enjoy my Twirling Trees, which were inspired by dressing our tree one year in her beautiful new skirt! I couldn’t escape the image of the tree coming to life and twirling it around!
Thanks for sharing a glimpse on what inspires you and your team!
