Paw Paw's grandsons -- help me decide!

Someone asked in a blog comment the other day if I was considering a new chow chow puppy. The answer is, yes, I am. In fact, award-winning breeder, Karen Tracy, sent me these photos of her latest litter of the most adorable chow chow puppies. Can you believe that these babies are actually my own Paw Paw'€™s grandsons? Karen says that at five weeks old, all they pretty much do is crawl on top of each other, sleep, and nurse. Such helpless little creatures, but it looks like Mama is taking very good care of them. Karen will continue to send us pictures and explained that according to the American Kennel Club rules, the puppies must be a minimum of 7 weeks old before they can be weaned from their mother. However, it may be 8 weeks or more because they need shots and they must be able to eat dry food on their own. So, in the mean time, I have a decision to make - which one? Or two? Or three?

The following photo show the babies at 1 day old

At 5 Weeks old, adorable! 1,2, and 3. Can we say  CuteOverload!!

How cute are they! Who was the breeder where you got the French Bulldogs?

Martha,
I have always found that if you choose the first puppy who comes to you, or the first to stand out to you, is the one that you are meant to have. Maybe that perspective will help you decide!

oh my goodness....those 3 boys need to live in Bedford....PawPaw's spirit would soar at the thought of it!

It may be to soon to call it, but I like # 2-he seems to be well centered, as Paw Paw always seem to be in every setting...

Hi Martha. . .

They are soooooooooo cute! Here's my advice (since you asked!) Go to a shelter and pick a sweet pooch that need a home and give him or her the best home ever! That's choice #1--my very best advice. Just think how great it would be for you to set an example for your many fans!

Or. . .choice #2--choose a girl chow puppy this time; females are so very sweet and the best choice. Hopefully one of the sweet pups is a girl!

Oh my god! They are so cute, how could you pick just one??

With your resources and space...go for it, Girl! Get all three, of course! Paw-Paw would want that, you know, Martha.

These puppies are beautiful.

I choose Number 3, as this puppy seems to have personality and reminds me of Paw Paw himself.

Best of luck with your new addition to your pet family!

Oh man I would take all three if at all possible. They are too cute for words. I cant wait to see more.

Martha, I say the more the merrier. It's not as if you don't have plenty of room for them. And what a lovely thing it is that you can adopt Paw Paw's very own grandchildren.

TAKE THEM ALL & have your chows back again. EXCEPT as you know male chows don't get along to bad they didn't have a female in the bunch.
Oh Martha send me the breeder info as my chow chow she is almost 13 and she looks like Paw Paw. I know these puppies are costly but worth it. I asked you last year if you knew of a good chow chow breeder on Ask Martha and you said if you found one you'd let me know PLEASE>
I hope you enjoy having whichever one captures your heart or two or three....

Martha:)
They are all so adorable. They are so helpless at this age, but they can steal your heart in a minute. From these pictures I would have to take all 3 babies. I hope one or more has Paw Paw's beauty and temperament.
Number one looks like she or he is going to have a beautiful black mask. Maybe when you have some more photos of them a little older, you can start making your choice of one or two or three more babies to love and spoil for a very long time.

Oh you have to get all three!!! Goodness knows you have the room to let them roam and they would have the absolute best life together and with you. (And then maybe you can name them, Eenie-Meenie, Mienie and Moe? That just came to me.)

ALL THREE!

How adorable! Martha, I think these three baby boys will be perfect for you! I can't wait to see you bring them on your show.

It would be so hard to choose knowing they are "grandkids". There is nothing so sweet and irresistable as a puppy, good luck choosing!

They are all so adorable, but I vote for #3. He looks the most lovable!

I love them all! Why not three? :)

All three, of course. Their coloring is beautiful, just like PawPaw. I'm sure PawPaw would HIGHLY approve.

Miss Martha

I know you must be thrilled to have such a hard choice to make. I know you loved your Paw Paw dearly and just having one of his little grandpups around would be so wonderful.

As for choosing, let the pups help you decide. The right one will pick you when the time comes. Best of wishes for you and your new grandpup.

OMG - You must take all three. Alvin, Simon and Theodore? So sweet!

I know - How about 1, 2, and 3!

I have to admit that I can't tell the difference between these 3 puppies. They are all adorable & lovely. How about adopt them all so they can be together?

Oh you! I already know what you're going to do and so do you! You already have the magic number, don't you? Hee! :D

Hi! I think they are so cute. I would keep them all. I Love Your show. I have learned alot from you. Thank You.
