UPDATE: My Mexico pictures and upgrade should be live on September 4 between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m! Please check back for this one -- you will not want to miss it!
In order to have a blog, you need to enlist a blogging platform, which supplies all the necessary tools for getting your photos and text onto the Internet. As my blog has grown in popularity, we realized we were ready to switch to a platform offering more programming options. After careful research, that new platform will be Wordpress, which we hope to launch tomorrow with an exciting photo gallery from my most recent trip to Mexico. With this new program, you will notice additions, such as a search engine within my blog and more robust photo galleries.
Helping with this transition is Terrance Pitre. T.J., as he likes to be called, is the Webmaster for emeril.com. Native to New Orleans, T.J. is a graduate of Tulane University. After MSLO formed a partnership with Emeril's company, T.J. moved with his wife and two cats to New York City, and began working in our web department while still preforming his emeril.com webmaster job. This blog change is exciting for all involved and T.J. is especially happy moving it forward into another realm. We'd be curious to know what you think, so please continue visiting, reading, and commenting about my blog.
Your blog is so informative and entertaining and the pictures are so good I can't imagine it getting any better. Looking forward to tomorrows post. And I'm REALLY looking forward to the BIG, BIG news coming on the 15th !!!

Dear Martha,
I think you look wonderful in all of the photos and my how I am seeing a more natural, spontaneous 'Martha', laughing and having fun in many of these photos.
It's nice to see the real side of people rather than the posed. And I love your new Milk add too! (even though I drink soy milk or rice dream) Ha ha

When using WordPress you lose the look of a "traditional" blog. IMHO they look less like a "behind the scenes personal look" and more like just another website. TypePad just looks more personal, like a handwritten note... best of luck with the transition and i hope in the end it will still feel like Martha is talking to us.

Yes! Wordpress is a great platform to work within. I followed a pal's lead and switched over back in Jan. 07.
Martha, do you ever check out Flickr.com? I love that place! Not only is it photos, it's arts and crafts, etc.-groups galore. You'd love it. (I'm sure you've been there). I store almost 4k of my own photos there.

Martha, can't wait to see the photos from Mexico. TJ is so cute,. and I know his move to MSLO, while still with Emeril, will work out great. Hope his two cats are adjusting to the move and his wife, also. Know your blog will be fantastic. I always go there and make a comment after I read your post with your pictures.
