Every week, mixologist Allen Katz goes on "Living Today" to share his amazing cocktail recipes. This week we have ANOTHER Allan Katz on air to discuss his cocktail concoctions. No, this isn't a sequel to "Single White Female." There are literally two guys with the same name who specialize in cocktails and live in New York City!
Allan Katz 2.0 was only 8 years old when he learned how to make a great virgin daiquiri. Since then, he's been mixing cocktails for everyone (and everything) from Chef Anthony Bourdain to cool venues such as Soho House and Cabrito. Below are some of his creations for NYC restaurants.
Mary’s Place from Cabrito
Ingredients:
1.5 ounce Serrano-infused Mount Gay Eclipse
.75 ounce lime juice
.75 ounce Demerera simple syrup
8-10 pieces fresh cilantro
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients together and top up with club soda.

Fatty Sour from Fatty Crab UWS
Ingredients:
1.5 ounces Buffalo Trace Fatty Barrel #5 Bourbon
.75 ounce Pedro Ximenez Sherry
.75 ounce lemon juice
.5 ounce egg white
3 dashes angostura bitters
dash simple syrup
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients together.
The Heer & Now from the upcoming Fatty Cue
Ingredients:
1.5 ounces 100 proof Rye
.5 ounces Spiced Orgeat
.5 ounce Heering
1 ounce lemon juice
2 dashes The Bitter Truth (J.Thomas' Very Own Decanter Bitters)
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients together.
