On a recent trip to Spain, I had so much fun sampling all the different variations of sherry! I’ve been wondering if sherry had a place in cocktails, and today Allen Katz proves that there are tons of options. Perfect for holiday entertaining, or quite nights next to the fire, these recipes are sure to please.
Bamboo
Ingredients:
2 ounces Fino Sherry
2 ounces Dry Vermouth
1/4 ounce Le Combier Triple Sec
3 dashes orange bitters
Directions:
1. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
Adonis
Ingredients:
2 ounces Fino Sherry
1 ounce Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes orange bitters
Directions:
1. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with an orange twist.
Ingredients:
1 ounce Vanilla Vodka
1 ounce Dumante Pistachio Liqueur
1/2 ounce PX Sherry
1 ounce cranberry juice
1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
Directions:
1. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
Quarter Deck
Ingredients:
2 ounces light white wine
1 ounce PX Sherry
1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
Directions:
1. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
