The "Living Today" Summer Book Club continues with a selection that is entertaining and teaches us about where our everyday fruits -- and even more exotic fruits -- come from!
"The Fruit Hunters," by Adam Leith Gollner, is about the author's search for the world's most exotic fruits, including mangoes that have a pina colada flavor and fruits that taste like peanut butter. There's even a miracle fruit that makes everything you eat taste completely different!
The book also teaches us where our most commonly purchased fruits originate, how they are prepared for market, and how organic, heirloom varieties have the flavors that are unforgettably delicious.
From Florida to the jungles of Borneo, "The Fruit Hunters" is a fantastic summer read and the book's author, Adam Leith Gollner, will be joining me on "Living Today" on August 8 to discuss his book and globe-trotting adventures!
