Meet the Contributors

Liz Aiello
Liz is the senior vice president of broadcast and omnimedia content strategy for MSLO. She's also the general manager of Martha Stewart Living Radio. She previously oversaw the launch of the Howard 100 News, which is dedicated to news and information about Howard Stern on Sirius. Prior to that, Liz spent 17 years in the television news business with ABC lastly serving as managing editor and executive producer at top-rated Eyewitness News on New York's WABC-TV. Liz is an active cook and gardener and works to create the "Martha style" for her twin boys and husband, Tony, in their home in Westchester County, New York.
Jocelyn Santos
Jocelyn has been a member of the Martha Stewart Living family for 10 years -- first as a television producer for "Martha Stewart Living" and "Petkeeping with Marc Morrone," and now as managing editor for Martha Stewart Living Radio. A native New Yorker, Jocelyn is a bona fide animal lover -- she has more than 360 dog toys! Jocelyn also has a bit of Martha in her home -- her house is painted in Drabware, a Martha Stewart color. She currently resides in Fairfield, Connecticut, with Spencer, an English springer spaniel.
Kim Fernandez
Kim has more than 20 years of experience in broadcasting, which includes a stint as an MTV veejay. She currently hosts "Morning Living" on Martha Stewart Living Radio. Kim has interviewed hundreds of people, including Jon Bon Jovi, Lisa Marie Presley, Bobby Flay, and Vince Gill. Kim loves to get in shape (she has Madonna-toned arms!) but admits her favorite Martha Stewart recipe is Southern Fried Eggs over Buttermilk Biscuits with Sausage Gravy. Yum!
Mario Bosquez
When you first walk into Mario's home, you'll come across the bright colors of a Mariachi band -- orange, yellow, blue, and red. You might also catch Mario wearing his beloved kilt. A 30-year veteran of broadcasting, Mario, the host of "Living Today" on Martha Stewart Living Radio, loves a good story, whether it's from a waitress or David Chang. A proud Chicano-Texan, Mario spends quality time with Becky and Dusty, African grey parrots, and Forrest, a poodle mix. He also enjoys gardening and decorating his two homes, one in Texas and one in New York City's Chinatown.
Stacy Hirvela
Stacey's love of plants began with her grandmother, who always let her pick as many lilies of the valley as she wanted. Though she had always gardened as a hobby, it wasn't until after she earned her linguistics degree from the University of Michigan that she realized she wanted to become a professional gardener. Stacey moved to New York in 1999 to attend the School of Professional Horticulture at the New York Botanical Garden. The two-year program led to her conviction to share with others what she had learned during her studies. After working as a rooftop gardener in Manhattan, she served as the horticulturist at Tavern on the Green restaurant for three years, the second woman ever to hold the position. Stacey joined the Martha Stewart Living staff in 2005 and works with Andrew Beckman and Tony Bielaczyc planning the garden content for the magazine. Though she dreams of an enormous formal vegetable garden surrounded by fruit, nut, and shade trees, her Woodside, Queens, apartment allows for little more than her collection of unique succulents. Stacey is an avid knitter, weaver, and sewer, which all provide an outlet for the inspiration she finds in the natural world.
Naomi Gabay
Naomi fell in love with radio as a student at SUNY New Paltz and is currently the supervising producer on "Living Today," Martha Stewart Living Radio's afternoon show. A vegetarian since the age of 14, Naomi's favorite Martha Stewart recipe is Three Garlic Pasta, because it's made with pantry staples -- a perfect weeknight dish!
Lauren G
Lauren started working in radio after studying journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is the producer of "Beauty Talk" and "Making a Living," as well as the associate producer of "Living Today." An avid runner, Lauren is always careful to try and burn off her daily intake of excessive amounts of chocolate, as she is a self-proclaimed chocoholic. Lauren is a HUGE fan of Everyday Food Magazine because most of the recipes include ingredients that are either staples found in any pantry or available at her local grocery store!
Alexis Tirado
Alexis is a proud Puerto Rican and Jersey girl. She's the web editor for Martha Stewart Living Radio and helped launch this blog. Alexis is a graduate of Providence College, an institution that has the silliest mascot -- a Friar. She's obsessed with Martha Stewart cupcakes, Perez Hilton, and her mom's empanadas. Her favorite cupcake recipe is Hi-Hat cupcakes -- you'll never run out of frosting!

Andrew Beckman
As the editorial director of gardening, Martha's longtime head gardener Andrew Beckman spends his days planting seeds of ideas and nurturing them along. A knack for planning ahead, then waiting patiently, comes in handy in the garden -- and at work, too. Andrew's team conceives all of its stories up to two years before they're published and then produces them a year in advance. Andrew has a degree in landscape architecture and a practical degree in horticulture from Pennsylvania's prestigious Longwood Gardens. He also co-owns a nursery in Columbia County, New York. You can listen to Andrew talk plants with Martha Stewart Living deputy editor Tony Bielaczyc, on "Homegrown," his radio show on Martha Stewart Living Radio.
Tony Bielaczyc
From his humble beginnings as a 6-year-old with a seed packet of zinnias, Tony Bielaczyc went on to get his MFA at the University of Wisconsin. Tony moved to New York City, where he worked as a horticulturist at Battery Park City Parks for six years. Now the deputy garden editor at Martha Stewart Living, Tony has executed many magazine stories in his 11 years with the company, appeared as a guest on Martha's various television shows, and worked with Andrew Beckman in Martha's gardens. You may also have heard him cohosting "Homegrown" on Martha Stewart Living Radio. He loves a good vegetable garden, primulas, alpine gardens, and enjoys pruning (especially trees and roses).
Sandy Gluck
For Sandy Gluck, there was no better training ground than the hustle-and-bustle restaurant scene in New York City. Sandy went to culinary school at the New York City College of Technology and worked for several years as a chef and caterer before freelancing and writing for magazines such as Good Housekeeping and Family Circle. Over the years, she has worn many hats, including cookbook editor, test-kitchen director, and senior recipe developer. Her encyclopedic knowledge of food can be seen in many of her books, including "The Best of Mediterranea," "From the Farmers' Market," "The Best of Coffee," and "Beans." As radio host of "Everyday Food," she loves helping Martha Stewart Living Radio listeners with their daily cooking dilemmas, teaching them simple, fast meals and cooking techniques.
Lisa Mantineo
Lisa's childhood ambition was to become a performer. She's on the radio now -- behind the scenes as the producer of "Everyday Food" and "EatDrink." Lisa began her broadcasting career as an on-air personality for WBUQ 91.1 FM, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania's radio station, and she has previously worked for stations such as WOR 710 AM in New York City. She loves singing karaoke and admits that her favorite ABBA tune is "Dancing Queen." Lisa resides in New Jersey in a home full of 1940s furniture, and and her favorite Everyday Food dish is Ham and Potato Bake.
Katie Macpherson
Katie wrote Martha Stewart a fan letter at age 10 and received a signed picture back -- on which was written, "You're a good thing!" Ever since then, she has been a devoted fan of all things Martha. Katie fell in love with radio while studying journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has worked as a freelance reporter and producer for several public radio programs, including "Marketplace" and "Jazz at Lincoln Center Radio." She now serves as the broadcast assistant for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. In her free time, she enjoys playing cello in the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra and whipping up delicious tofu desserts!
Terri Trespicio
Terri's childhood ambition was to become a writer. Before her break in magazine publishing, she was a copywriter for a wig catalog. That's right, wigs. Terri knows more about caps and fibers than anyone should! She's currently a senior editor at Body+Soul magazine and host of "Whole Living" on Martha Stewart Living Radio. As an editor, she helps develop fresh, interesting content to inspire people to live healthier lives. And as the host of "Whole Living," she takes those ideas to listeners in a fun and refreshing way. And there's nothing she recommends or writes about that she hasn't at least tried herself (as evidenced by the live Neti Pot demonstration on "Whole Living.") A regular contributor to local and national media, Terri can often be seen on "The Martha Stewart Show" touting a variety of healthy habits.
Betsy Karetnick
Betsy is a broadcast journalist with a background in money and personal finance. She has reported stories both nationally and internationally, and served as the host of "That Money Show," a PBS-distributed series. All the while, Betsy indulged twin passions for party planning and planting. She is a passionate cook, and so started growing herbs and flowers on small balconies in New York City. Eventually Betsy has turned her hobby into The Portable Garden, a container garden and floral design business in Millburn, New Jersey. Now she is thrilled to be sharing her personal and professional experiences on Martha Stewart Living Radio on the "Morning Living" show. Betsy lives in New Jersey with her husband, two children, a growing number of pets, endless containers, and an impressive collection of stemware.
Jennifer Sendrow
Jennifer holds a BA in British and Irish Literature from New York University and completed a Fulbright Scholarship year studying comparative politics at the University of Aarhus in Denmark. All that fine education led to work as a freelance writer, which led to a radio interview, which led to a career change. Before joining the team at Martha Stewart Living Radio, she worked for "The Leonard Lopate Show" on WNYC, New York's public radio station. Jennifer loves to cook epic meals for friends and runs a book club. Her passion for travel verges on the gypsy level. She and her husband, Scott, document their adventures at bridgeandtunnelclub.com.
