On the runway these days, I'm seeing quite a few wedding gowns in colors other than white, and I think it's great. I can understand if you don't want a bright purple dress, but a beautiful, blush-colored gown is flattering to most complexions and adds a nice note of surprise to the ceremony. This one by Reem Acra, which is featured in the summer 2007 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, is elegant yet just the right bit flirty and has a lovely skirt that moves with you when you walk. When shopping for your dress, keep an open mind, and try on everything the bridal consultant gives you; a dress that looks heavy or not quite the right shade on the rack just might look gorgeous on you. And who doesn't want to look gorgeous on her wedding day?
