You might know Papyrus as a great shop to pop into for a-cut-above greeting cards and handsome gift wrap. But did you know they’ll also allow you to customize invitations and other stationery with your monogram or a favorite piece of artwork? We collaborated with them ourselves on the stationery in the monogram story we ran in our Spring issue. Stores in New York and Connecticut also have designers ready to help you create your own piece of artwork, if inspiration doesn't strike you.

Long before Carrie Bradshaw popularized the nameplate necklace on HBO's Sex and the City I was all about personalized jewelry. I can remember the “initial” gold charm I just had to have with my first gold chain. I know the initialized goods trend comes and goes, remember the "Laverne & Shirley" sweaters and the letter stick-pins? I happen to love monograms, I remember when this was published in MSW and I thought what a great idea for my upcoming nupitals!
