Also this morning on The Martha Stewart Show , I talked about couples experimenting with color for their weddings, a trend I’m really excited about. After years of white-on-white palettes, it’s great to see boldly hued table settings, cakes, accessories—even dresses. (I’ve said it here before: Wedding gowns don’t have to be white!) Here are some shots from the show:
Don’t our brides look amazing? Reem Acra, who designed the dress on the left (and the dress of our Today show bride!), was at the show today, as was Vane Becidyan, the bride-to-be behind Brooklyn Bride. The pink dress is by Peter Langer.
These cakes are all featured in the next issue of Weddings, which will be on stands on Monday.
I love how the hot-pink flowers pop against the black-and-white background. We made the runner by hemming a length a fabric; the same fabric was color-copied to make the place cards.
I know most brides aren’t making major investments in their wedding day jewelry, but I had to show you a close-up of these Stephen Russell earrings (and that ring!). We had Eva Scrivo pull back both brides’ hair, so the jewelry could really shine.
I absolutely love the black, white, and pink tablescape! I was watching you on TV and came to check it out your blog immediately! On TV I swear you said you'd have the links on the website on how to make the place cards and wine bottle. Do you? Or was I so eager I heard wrong?

I loved the Black & White Table with Pink Accents. Black & White is so hot! I just love it!
The cakes are amazing! I love Calligraphy so that just takes the cake :)

Wow! I love all of your beautifully creative ideas!... I'm getting married to my love on September 6th, 2008...and I LOVE that table setting! Our colors are lake blue and sage green though... so I was wondering where you got that fabric??
