A co-worker just sent me this link from an All Things Considered on NPR. They ask a writer to pick three books based on a theme and low and behold, the theme was weddings this time. It's a fun group of books and I'm obsessed with reading one of her picks about the rules of hosting a Southern Wedding. As a midwesterner and now an east coaster, I'm not familiar with the concept of Southern Style Weddings but clearly, I've been missing out. Click here to find out more about the other two books and to get a mean recipe for sausage cheese balls (apparently a Southern delicacy).

Shortly after I got engaged and decided I would get married in the South, I stumbled upon this book. It is hilarious, particularly if you understand some of the weirdnesses of Southern culture.

Southerners aren't weird...y'all are! ;) The book is hilarious though. As far as sausage balls go, I wouldn't serve them at my wedding, but I serve them at every Christmas party I have and they are fantastic. Bisquick, cheese and spicy sausage...how could you go wrong?

Alexis, are you on vacation or just not posting this week. I have so much more interest in your finds/ideas than Darcy's, probably because your closer to my age and are actually starting to plan your wedding now as opposed to already having been married for a long time. also Darcy's posts all seem like paid advertisements not real posts (I realize this has tradionally been her blog), and I never cared what was on it 'till I read your posts. I have missed you all week. Please come back soon.
