Communication is where it is at. You want experts that listen and that will work as a team to ensure your wedding is a success and exactly what you want.
Consider having a meeting with an event planner whether you are planning on using one or not. It is always nice to have one available to fall back on if need be, whether it be just for a week or the day of the wedding.
