Posted by Alexis Givens Saw these on Etsy today and thought they were such a great idea. What a pretty way to historically document your dress and wedding date. Just sew them inside your dress and future generations will be delighted to find this tag. You could also work them into your bouquet or wedding scrapbook.
There is just something very special about personalizing a gown. And, they are embroidered in light blue. What could be better?
Find them at the Initial Impressions store on Etsy.

I love this! I really feel strongly about wanting to pass on my wedding dress- so this would be a perfect idea to keep a part of me with the dress. Lovely.

Hey, that was my idea ! A few weeks ago, I embroided my intials and wedding date on a wide white ribbon. I also used a blue tread.
I love this idea. However, I think it is much more personal if the brde does it herself. Even simple, plain cross-stitching would do. This may come from etsy (why aren't they more in Europe ? I love them !), but it still is machine embroidery. I loved spending two hours embroiding something wedding-y. It reminded me of the time when brides sew their weding linen themself...

If you can do embroidery, it would be lovely to do this yourself. For those of us who aren't so crafty, it also is great to have the option to have someone do it for you.
Sorry for stealing your idea! Are you going to sew your ribbon into your dress or use it for something else?

This is so precious. What a great idea. Imagine the bride of two generations from now finding this dress.
