October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- in the weddings world, there are lots of great tie-ins to support breast cancer. Here are a few I know about; please share any others you may know about.
The Wedding Library and Thread are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All orders placed in October will receive an additional 10 percent off. A percentage of these proceeds will be donated to benefit breast cancer awareness.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and translational research worldwide. A minimum of 85 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. For more information about BCRF, visit bcrfcure.org or call 866-346-3228.
This month, the White Dress By the Shore will donate a percentage of gown sales to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation.

How wonderful?! Wedding are a celebration of life and incorporating a great cause into your big day makes it that much more meaninful!Don't know of anything that supports this cause but I did come across this awesome idea for a wedding www.weddingforalex.com. So cool

These dresses are so beautiful and I really love the idea of incorporating a good cause into purchases that everyone has to make. It really does make you feel better about making a purchase if a portion of your purchase goes towards something good.

The dresses are stunning! I totally agree that it makes you feel better about the purchase. Hope more companies start doing things of this nature. In addition, I hope more opportunities like the wedding tina mentioned come about. As a future bride I don't see the sense in spending all of that money on one day, but I still dream of my big day. Tough place to be in however, if I had the chance to do what the wedding for alex is all about than I would be all over it.Please post if anyone knows of any other opportunities like the this one. Thanks a ton!!
