Livia Cetti, owner of the small, beautiful floral boutique, The Green Vase, and I were just talking about the wedding she is working on now and what sets her apart from other floral designers. Livia, who was on staff at MSW for three years and lucky for us is still a contributing editor, has the great skill of being a brilliant floral designer but is also capable of hand-crafting details and custom styling. Just as Livia approaches the stories in the magazine, she is capable of customizing any wedding look so it's not just about the flowers and is totally original. I love this bouquet she styled (from the current issue).
Livia took a necklace and translated the look, feel and palette of the necklace into a bouquet.
Here, Livia took details from the custom veil and incorporated the same accents into the bouquet.
In this case, the bride wanted flowers that felt like the very beginning of spring, but in fact her wedding was in the summer. Livia was able to give her that feeling.
Taking a step further, Livia created an original display for the bride's escort card table. Here you see fishbowls with real water lilies and aquatic plants (not your average florist fair).
For another wedding in California, the bride could not find a cake topper she liked. Livia, in addition to doing her flowers, designed this beautiful, simple and classic topper. Email Livia if you are interested in buying one! livia@thegreenvase.com

Absolutely stunning interpretation. I love her use of color to mimic the sparkle and texture of the necklace.

LOVE these arrangements. My favorite is the bouquet with the custom veil accents. Beautiful.

Livia styled Amy Atlas' dessert table that's on display at the Wedding Library through the end of November. Take a look at the blog to see her amazing work. -- Claudia (I think the cake table will be featured on an upcoming Martha Stewart TV show, too...)
