We come up with and shoot so many ideas for our magazine, but it's so rare to see them come to life. Last night we, along with the Wedding Library, hosted the first wedding at the Pop Up Wedding Chapel at 303Grand in Brooklyn, and it was a smashing success—we've got the ABC News clip to prove it! (It's not too late to sign up for your own wedding over the weekend.) Our team worked around the clock to make sure everything was in place for the big event. Here's what they did.
This is just a sneak peek—check out marthastewartweddings.com for the complete online gallery.

Our DIY story, "Popup Party," which you can find in our Summer issue, served as the inspiration for this wedding. We decorated the front of the space (a small, white, rectangular room) with bright pink and peach paper garlands from a party supply source, which is perfect if you're looking for an affordable decor option with a lot of impact. The garlands also served to break up the space—a great way to make separate areas within the same room for a ceremony and reception. And Martha Stewart Crafts favors went with the tissue paper theme.
Of course, a wedding isn't just all about the decor. Cheryl Kleinman used our paper cutouts to decorate the cake, and the Glazier Group created a simple menu of passed hors d'oeuvres and served spiked and nonalcaholic lemonade and Pommery POP Pink Rosé. And look at the cute lollipop cones with personalized labels by Heather Arak.

Even though we planned all these details, it's always the most personal elements that make weddings memorable. My favorite moments were the processional (to Donovan's "Catch the Wind") and recessional (to "Oh How Happy" by Shades of Blue). They were songs that meant a lot to the couple and were mixed by their friend, who happened to be the DJ. And that's exactly how the couple seemed—oh how happy!

I love the colors, so vibrant and fun! congrats on an amazing event.

We are so excited to be part of Leah & Michael's wedding- the preparations were really exciting. To be clear, the lollies and towers (display) were actually designed and produced by our "sister" company, Gifts for the Good Life. You can find them here www.goodlifegab.com
