I'm a little delayed in writing this post but wanted to share some snapshots from our going away party for former Art Director Jayme Smith Murray. I know everyone loved Jayme’s incredible inspiration boards, as well as the leading art direction she gave over her almost 8 years at Martha Stewart Weddings. In fact, her own wedding is our most popular real wedding ever, as are her homemade templates to make some of the details from it.
We all adore Jayme so much, so we decided to throw her a potluck farewell party and have everyone at the magazine bake, cook, or bring something special. (What did we learn? We at Weddings love sweets. 80 percent of those who came brought dessert for a party from held from 5-7). Then, we raised our glasses and toasted our friend, Jayme—after all, she's the kind of person one could never roast.
By the way, potluck is a great way to organize a shower, bridesmaids get-together, or bachelorette party, since everyone enjoys contributing, it's personal, and it distributes the cost of everything equally.
We served wine from Iron Horse Vineyards
Special guests included our friend and contributing editor Matthew Robbins (who provided the gorgeous flowers), Creative Director Eric A. Pike, and Martha herself. We presented Jayme with a pair of Ted Muehling earrings—a special "something blue."

We mocked up a cover, then signed inside and gave it to Jayme as a card
